Laudis®
Laudis is used as a wide-range broadleaf weed killer in corn, applied post-emergence. The Laudis preparation contains Tembotrione and Isoxadifen-ethyl. The new component, Tembotrione (of the F2: HARC group), has a different mechanism of operation to existing preparations in the market for post-emergence application in corn. Isoxadifen-ethyl is used as a Safener in this formulation. The eradicated weeds are: Broadleaf weeds: Abutilon, Amaranth species (albus, retroflexus, blitoides, palmeri and viridis), exploding cucumber, dyer's croton, Tribulus.
The preparation suppresses the biosynthesis of carotenoids, damages chlorophyll and, as a results, causes pale spots on the leaves. The first symptom appears as a bleaching phenomenon of the leaves, 3-5 days post-application, which leads to necrosis of the leaves and the death of treated weeds after a period of approximately 14 days.
